We’re already halfway through January—and if you’re like us, you might be wondering where the month has gone. The beginning of the year can feel like a blur of intentions, pressure, and “shoulds.” Maybe you planned to send out a fresh New Year’s message, set 10 new wellness goals, overhaul your routine, and start meditating daily by January 2nd.
But sometimes life doesn’t line up perfectly with the calendar—and that’s okay.
Rather than trying to catch up or cram in a late New Year’s post, we are choosing to start where we are. Mid-January is still a beautiful time to reconnect with yourself and your vision for the months ahead, especially when it comes to your wellness. This year, we are focusing less on lofty resolutions and more on sustainable rhythms that feel nourishing and real. If that resonates with you, keep reading.

We’ve been conditioned to think of January 1st as the ultimate fresh start. While there’s symbolic power in a new calendar year, it’s important to remember that your timeline is yours. You haven’t “missed it” just because you didn’t jump into 2026 with a color-coded planner and a new gym routine.
In many cultures, the Lunar New Year—which arrives in early February this year—marks a much more intuitive reset. We’re still in the heart of winter (in the Northern Hemisphere), a natural time for rest, reflection, and slow planning. The seeds we plant now are underground, gathering energy. There’s no need to rush their growth.
So whether you’re just beginning to think about your wellness goals or you’ve already shifted your focus a few times this month, know that you’re not behind. You’re right on time.
As we look toward the rest of the year, one question I’ve been asking myself is: What does wellness mean for me right now?
Not the social media version. Not the trendy version. But the version that actually supports my body, mind, and spirit in this current season.
Here are a few themes and intentions I’m holding onto for 2026. If they resonate, feel free to borrow them—or use them to spark your own:
The hustle mindset is finally beginning to lose its grip—and not a moment too soon. In its place, many of us are craving a life that feels full but not frantic.
This year, I’m paying closer attention to what truly gives me energy: nourishing foods, real rest (not just screen time), moving my body intuitively, and making space for joy that isn’t productive.
Wellness isn’t about squeezing more in—it’s about aligning with what actually works for you in the long term.
We hear a lot about mental health, but nervous system regulation is still catching on in the mainstream. And yet, it’s central to how we feel on a daily basis.
In 2026, we are focusing on building micro-habits that support calm, clarity, and presence: breathwork before meetings, longer exhales when we feel overwhelmed, even just taking 30 seconds to ground through touch or sound.
If you’ve been feeling overstimulated or scattered lately, you’re not alone. Slowing down to care for your nervous system isn’t indulgent—it’s essential.
Social media continues to be a double-edged sword. It connects us, inspires us, and informs us—but it can also drain us, distract us, and disconnect us from ourselves.
This year, one of our wellness goals is to prioritize real connection: more conversations, more walks with friends, more voice notes instead of just liking posts. We’re also reevaluating how often we scroll, and being more mindful of who we follow and why.
Wellness isn’t just about your body or your habits—it’s also about your relationships. Who helps you feel like you? Lean in there.

In the lunar calendar, we’re coming to the end of the Year of the Snake and preparing to enter the Year of the Horse. We won’t go into too much detail here (We have a full post on that coming next month), but this transition brings a noticeable shift in energy.
The Snake is introspective, strategic, and deeply intuitive. It’s been a year of shedding, clarifying, and sometimes sitting in stillness while answers formed. As we move toward the Horse, we’ll feel a growing desire for freedom, movement, and bold action.
If last year felt like you were quietly laying groundwork, this year might feel like you’re finally ready to run—with purpose.
For now, just notice where you are in that transition. Are you still shedding old skins, or starting to stretch into something new? There’s no rush. Both phases are vital.
If you’re still feeling into your 2026 intentions, here are a few gentle journal prompts to help you reflect and align:
You don’t need to answer all of them at once. Even one insight can shift your direction.
If you’ve been feeling behind, scattered, or disconnected as the year begins, we want to gently remind you: there’s no rule that says your wellness journey has to start on a certain date—or look a certain way.
Whether your wellness goals are small or sweeping, loud or quiet, slow or swift—you’re allowed to begin again. As many times as you need to.
So here’s to 2026: a year of sustainable energy, deeper connection, and wellness that feels like coming home to yourself.
You’re not late. You’re right on time.

(And stay tuned—next month we’ll be sharing more about the transition from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse, and how to align with that powerful energy shift.)
